TECHNICAL SEO CONSULTANT

Technical SEO consultant who fixes what's quietly capping your rankings.

You can write brilliant content and still go nowhere if Google can’t crawl, understand, or trust your site. I find and fix the technical issues holding you back, so every other bit of SEO you do finally pays off.

What is technical SEO?

Technical SEO is the work that makes your website easy for search engines to crawl, index, understand, and trust. If content and links are what you say to Google, technical SEO is whether Google can hear you at all. It covers the foundations: site architecture, crawlability, indexing, speed, mobile experience, security, and structured data.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth most site owners don’t realise: you can have the best content in your industry and still be invisible because a robots directive is blocking it, your pages load too slowly, or Google is wasting its crawl budget on thousands of junk URLs. As a technical SEO consultant, my job is to remove those hidden ceilings so your real strengths can show through in the rankings.

Who needs technical SEO?

Almost every site has technical issues, but it becomes urgent for:

If you’re not sure whether technical problems are holding you back, that’s exactly what an SEO technical audit is for.

How technical SEO gets you ranked

I work through the foundations in the order that gives you the fastest, safest return.

1. Crawlability and architecture

Search engines discover your pages by crawling links. If your architecture is a maze of orphaned pages, endless redirect chains, and messy internal linking, important pages get missed or buried. I map how your site is actually crawled, flatten unnecessary depth, fix redirect chains and loops, and make sure your most valuable pages are only a click or two from the homepage.

2. Indexing control

Not every page should be in Google’s index, and the ones that should must not be accidentally blocked. I audit your robots.txt, meta robots tags, canonical tags, and XML sitemaps to make sure Google indexes exactly the pages you want ranking, and ignores the thin, duplicate, or utility pages that dilute your quality signals.

3. Crawl budget and duplicate URLs

On bigger sites, Google only crawls so many pages per visit. Faceted navigation, filters, session IDs, and pagination can generate thousands of near-duplicate URLs that soak up that budget and confuse the index. I bring these under control with canonicalisation, parameter handling, and smart internal linking, so Google spends its time on the pages that earn you money.

4. Site speed and Core Web Vitals

Speed is both a ranking factor and a conversion factor. I diagnose what’s actually slowing your pages (oversized images, render-blocking scripts, bloated code, slow servers) and fix the issues that matter most for your Core Web Vitals. Faster pages rank better and keep more visitors from bouncing.

5. Mobile, security, and structured data

Google indexes the mobile version of your site first, so I make sure the mobile experience is genuinely solid. I confirm HTTPS is correctly implemented, and I add structured data so your pages become eligible for rich results (review stars, FAQs, breadcrumbs) that boost visibility and click-through.

My approach: foundations before flourishes. I’d rather fix the indexing bug that’s hiding half your site than tinker with a meta description. We solve the issues that unlock the biggest gains first, and I always explain the why in plain terms.

How technical SEO benefits your business

How I work as your technical SEO consultant

I start with a thorough technical audit, then hand you a prioritised, plain-English list of what’s wrong, why it matters, and the impact of fixing it. I either implement the fixes myself or work alongside your developers with clear, specific instructions. Then I verify the fixes actually took effect and monitor the results.

The technical issues I find most often

Every site is different, but a handful of problems come up on the majority of the sites I audit.
