Link building services with the criteria, the process and the price published up front.

Most link building is sold on adjectives. Mine is sold on a list you can hold me to: the seven checks a site clears before I will approach it, what every link costs, and what I will not do at any budget.

What link building services actually cover

Four different jobs sold under one name.

Link building services are the work of getting other websites to link to yours, because a link from a site people already trust is still one of the clearest signals that your pages are worth ranking. That much is simple. What makes the category confusing is that four quite different jobs are sold under the same label, at wildly different prices, and most buyers cannot tell which one they are being quoted for.

Editorial links are earned. Somebody pitches your research, your tool or your expertise to a site that has a reason to reference it, and the site links because the content justifies it. Digital PR links come from the same idea aimed at journalists and publications rather than site owners. Paid placements are exactly what they sound like, where a publisher charges a fee to host a piece that includes your link. And profile work is the unglamorous half nobody sells: reclaiming links you already earned and lost, and dealing with the spam pointed at you by other people.

An honest seo link building service tells you which of those four you are buying, what each one costs, and where the money goes. Most do not. That is why this page publishes the criteria, the process and the price rather than asking you to book a call to find out.

Why I publish my criteria

Because I have been on the receiving end of the alternative.

In August I disavowed 555 domains pointing at this site. Not a client case study, my own domain. The profile had grown from 27 referring domains to 470 in four months without me building a single link.

Looking at what those links actually said is the clearest education in this industry I can give you. Around 110 of them were dofollow, carrying anchor text like “High Quality Dofollow Backlinks DA 50 PA 40 Premium PBN Network Service Rank First Page Google Fast SEO Link Building Buy Backlinks Online Cheap”. Another 229 domains carried a fabricated testimonial written in my voice, describing how my traffic had climbed 400 per cent thanks to a backlink package from a company I have never dealt with.

That is what the cheap end of this market produces at scale, and some of it is sold to real businesses as a service. The people buying it are not stupid. They are buying something they were given no way to evaluate, because the seller published no criteria, showed no placements and disclosed no costs.

So I go the other way. Everything below is the actual standard a site has to meet before I will approach it on your behalf, the actual sequence a placement goes through, and the actual price. If you take one thing from this page and use it to interrogate somebody else, that is a good outcome too.

The seven checks every site passes

Quality control is not negotiable. No site is approached for a placement unless it clears every check below.

These are thresholds, not aspirations. A site that fails any one of them does not get contacted, however convenient it would be to fill a monthly quota with it. You can hold me to this list, and you are welcome to ask me to show the numbers for any placement I propose.

Domain RatingMeets an agreed minimum authority threshold. I recommend DR 30 and above as a floor.
Organic search trafficVerified organic visits rather than inflated or bot-driven numbers. I recommend 1,000 a month and above.
Traffic geographyThe audience skews toward the markets you actually sell into, not wherever the traffic happens to come from.
Traffic trendStable or growing, with no unexplained sudden drops that suggest a penalty or a bought audience.
Spam scoreUnder 6 per cent, checked at the time of outreach rather than taken from an old record.
Niche relevanceYour subject area, or topics genuinely adjacent to it. Relevance is judged by a person, not a category tag.
Content qualityManually reviewed, and excluded if grey-niche content sits alongside the legitimate material.

The last check is the one that catches the most sites. A domain can pass every metric in the list and still be hosting gambling or adult content three clicks away from where your link would sit. Metrics do not show you that. Opening the site does.

How a placement actually happens

The sequence, from brief to verified live link.

01
Work out what the links are forA page already ranking eighth needs different support from a page nobody has ever linked to, and a brand with no coverage needs a different approach from one sitting on plenty of unlinked mentions. So the work starts with which pages matter commercially, and what your competitors have that you do not.
02
ProspectingI build a list of sites with a real reason to reference the page in question, drawn from who already links to comparable content, who covers your subject regularly, and where competitors have earned placements you could reasonably earn too.
03
The seven checksEvery candidate goes through the criteria above. This is where most of the list disappears, and that is the point. A shorter list of sites that pass is worth considerably more than a long one assembled to fill a quota.
04
Approach, by typeEditorial and digital PR placements are pitched, which means writing to a person with a reason they should care and accepting that a good proportion say no. Paid placements are negotiated, and you see the publisher cost before anything is committed. Either way I coordinate the content, because a link inside a piece nobody would publish on its own merits is a link that ages badly.
05
Verification, and again laterI check the link is live, that it points where it should, that it is not marked nofollow when it was agreed as followed, and that it is still there weeks afterwards. Manual link building work is finished when the link is confirmed, not when the email is sent.

What it costs

Priced per live link, not per email sent.

You pay for links that are live and verified. If a placement does not land, you are not charged for the attempt, which is the only arrangement that keeps the incentive pointed at quality rather than volume.

Editorial link
£350
per live link
Earned through pitching and content-led outreach, or through existing publisher relationships. No fee goes to the publisher.
PR link
£450
per live PR link
Secured through digital PR and journalist relationships, on publications that do not sell placements at any price.
Paid link
Cost + £200
service fee per placement
The publisher cost is shown to you and approved before I proceed, every time. You always know what the site charged and what I charged.

The £200 service fee covers sourcing, vetting, negotiating, content coordination, publication and verification for that placement. I also handle the invoicing and pay publishers directly, so you are not managing dozens of small transactions with sites you have never heard of. You see and approve the exact publisher cost before anything is spent, and I share the full invoice record for every placement.

There are no link building packages with a fixed number of links a month, because the number that is right depends on what your competitors have and how fast you can absorb the content that goes with them. What I will give you before you commit is a volume and a budget for a defined period, based on the gap between your profile and the sites you are trying to outrank.

Backlink profile management

Everything that is not a new link, and usually the cheaper win.

New links are only half of it. Most sites have already earned links they have since lost, mentions nobody ever turned into links, and in some cases spam arriving that nobody is watching. That work is slower to sell because it does not produce a satisfying monthly number, and it is frequently where the fastest improvement sits.

Unlinked brand mention reclamation
Broken backlink sourcing and reclamation
Lost-link monitoring and recovery
Spam, PBN attack and negative SEO monitoring
New referring domains, link velocity and anchor text health checks
Disavow file advice, created only where genuinely necessary
Reddit and industry forum monitoring for mentions and risks
Relevant, credible directory and citation opportunities
Competitor backlink and opportunity monitoring
£500 a month

Ongoing management and monitoring. The fee covers monitoring and management only, and any links secured are charged separately at the rates above.

Permanent link guarantee

All placements are permanent. If a link is ever removed, I replace it with a link of equal or greater strength at no additional cost to you.

A note on disavow files, because this is where I see the most damage done by people trying to help. Most sites do not need one, and a badly built disavow file removes links you earned. I recommend one only where the profile genuinely warrants it, and I show you the evidence before anything is submitted.

How I work, and what I will not do

The refusals matter more than the promises.

You are hiring a link building consultant rather than an agency with a monthly quota to fill, and the difference shows up first in the diagnosis. The same holds across everything I do, and the freelance SEO consultant page sets out what that model gives you and what it costs you. Every engagement starts with your existing profile next to your competitors’, because that comparison decides whether links are actually your constraint. Sometimes they are not, and I would rather tell you that on the first call than sell you twelve months of placements that were never going to move anything. If your pages are thin or your site cannot be crawled properly, links will not rescue them, and a technical audit is the better first spend.

Once we are working, you get the proposed sites before outreach starts rather than a list of what was published afterwards. If you do not want your brand next to a particular site, you say so before it happens, not after.

What I will not do, at any budget. No private blog networks, no link farms, no sitewide footer or template links, and no bulk guest posting on sites that exist only to host guest posts. No links from sites that fail the seven checks, including the ones that would pass on metrics but fail on a manual read. No anchor text stuffing, because an unnatural anchor profile is the single most visible pattern in the spam I cleaned off my own domain. And no guarantees about rankings, because nobody controls those and anyone offering one is describing an outcome they cannot deliver.

If any of that rules out what you came here for, we will both save time finding out now. If it sounds like the way you would want this done, a call is the fastest way to see whether the numbers work for your site.

What the work has produced

Named clients, not anonymised screenshots.

Links are a means rather than the point, so here are three engagements where they were part of the mix, with the numbers attached and the clients named.

“Adib is an SEO guru. Google recognised only 53 of our keywords when he started, after his work that’s 180 worldwide, with several already on page one. Easy to talk to, and he helps you understand his thinking.”Matt LivingstonCEO, Bacanale
“An absolute gem to collaborate with. Swift, thorough, and full of in-depth SEO insight, and he transparently shared every step of his process. I’d wholeheartedly recommend him and will hire him again.”Mirko ScarcellaCEO, Lion ADV Inc

None of that is a promise about your site. It is evidence that the method works where links were genuinely the constraint, which is the first thing I check before selling any.

Link building FAQs

How much do link building services cost?
Mine are priced per live link. An editorial link is £350, a digital PR link is £450, and a paid placement is the publisher cost plus a £200 service fee, with that publisher cost shown to you before anything is committed. Ongoing backlink profile management is £500 a month, covering monitoring and management only. Across the wider market you will see anything from a few pounds for automated junk to four figures for a placement in a national title, and the price usually tells you which one you are getting.
What is a good Domain Rating for a backlink?
DR 30 is a sensible floor, but it is the weakest of the seven checks on its own. Domain Rating measures a site’s own backlink profile, which means a site can hold a high DR while getting almost no real visitors, or while hosting content you would not want your brand beside. I would rather place a link on a DR 35 site with genuine organic traffic in your subject area than a DR 70 site with none.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and I would treat anyone who does with suspicion. Nobody controls Google’s results, and a guarantee is a promise about something the person making it cannot influence directly. What I do guarantee is that every placement is permanent, and that if a link is removed I replace it with one of equal or greater strength at no additional cost.
Is link building still worth it?
Yes, with the caveat that it is the slowest lever available and the easiest to waste money on. Links still separate pages that are otherwise evenly matched, and they matter for how often a brand gets cited in AI answers as well as in traditional results. What has changed is the tolerance for volume. A small number of genuinely relevant placements now does more than a large number of cheap ones, and the cheap ones carry real downside.
How long before links affect rankings?
Weeks for the link to be found and counted, months for the effect to show clearly in your positions. Anything faster than that is either a page that was already on the edge of moving, or a coincidence. This is why I would rather start with reclaiming links you already lost, which acts faster because the pages behind them are already known.
Do you offer digital PR as a separate service?
Digital PR placements are available as part of link building, priced at £450 per live link. What I do not currently sell is a standalone digital PR campaign built around a creative concept and a press push, because that is a different discipline with a different measure of success. If that is what you need, say so on the call and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
What happens if a link is removed later?
I replace it with a link of equal or greater strength at no additional cost. Links do get removed, sites do get sold and redesigned, and a service that treats a placement as finished the moment it goes live is passing that risk to you. Lost-link monitoring is part of the ongoing management for the same reason.
